To run ARCHLine.XP® the following software and hardware conditions are needed:

Operating System: 64 bit Microsoft Windows 7 (SP1 with the latest update) / 8 /10 with the latest updates installed (Windows XP* is and Windows Vista are NOT supported.)

Processor (CPU): Intel i7 or 8 core AMD processor

Memory (RAM): 16 GB or more

Video card (GPU): Video card with DirectX 11 and 9.0c support. Suggestion: NVIDIA or ATI graphics cards with minimum 1 GB or more dedicated memory. Integrated Intel video cards are recommended from Intel HD Graphics 3000.

Video card (GPU) for LIVE: Video card with DirectX 11 support. NVIDIA or ATI graphics cards with minimum 4 GB dedicated memory. Integrated Intel video cards are not recommended.

Hard disk: 1TB HDD or SSD - 2 GB available hard disk space on the installation drive and at least an additional 6 GB free space on the system drive (this is the C: drive in most cases)

Display: Recommended: FullHD(1920x1080) resolution. 4K is supported. For Notebooks, the minimum recommended display size (screen diagonal) is 15 "FullHD (1920x1080). For a 4K resolution monitor, the recommended minimum display size (screen diagonal) is 27 ".

Mouse: 2 button, scroll-wheel mouse

Hard drive: 256 GB HDD, - 2 GB available hard disk space on the installation drive and at least an additional 3 GB free space on the system drive (this is the C: drive in most cases)

Mouse: 2 button, scroll-wheel mouse

* Every new Mac lets you install and run Windows at native speed, using a built-in utility called Boot Camp. In order to run ARCHLine.XP in a Mac environment you need to install the Window operating system too.

In addition to Boot Camp there are other virtualization solutions (such as VMware Fusion or Parallels Desktop) to run Windows on a Mac. Please check the homepage for further details about actual software requirements and ask your Apple Store expert. Please note that in case of using virtualization solutions, hardlocks are NOT supported. In such cases ONLY non-hardlock licenses are supported.

If you are a Parallels Desktop or VMware user please note that for a proper performance you might need a more powerful configuration than the specifics listed above. Please do not forget to consult your Apple Store expert.

**Please note that you will need at least 512 MB memory for the videocard for 3D visualization.

DirectX support

ARCHLine.XP® requires DirectX support on version 11 or 9.0.c level. DirectX 11 is recommended.

How can I update my computer's graphics driver?

If you have a notebook or laptop computer:

Please visit the website of the notebook manufacturer to download the latest driver.

If you have a desktop or workstation computer:

Before you can update the graphics driver, you need to know what kind of graphics card you have. For more information about how to find out what graphics card you have in your PC, do the following.

The easiest way is to run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool:

- Click "Start."
- On the "Start" menu, click "Run."
- In the "Open" box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks) , and then click "OK."
- The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the "Display" tab.
- On the "Display" tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the "Device" section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has.

Once you know the kind of graphics card you have, visit the manufacturer's website to download the latest driver. Here are links for downloading drivers from the most common graphics card manufacturers:

Important note: Most Intel graphics solutions are developed for office use and NOT recommended for CAD applications!

 

NOT SUPPORTED SOFTWARE:

LogMeIn users may experience warnings about outdated drivers at the program startup. This is due to the LogMeIn Mirror Driver which may affect the performance while working with ARCHLine.XP. Please contact the LogMeIn HelpDesk for further instructions and information. Uninstalling the LogMeIn Mirror Driver might be necessary.


The
Plays.TV screen recorder client is reported to be incompatible with ARCHLine.XP, making it unstable and causing frequent crashes. It is highly recommended to uninstall the Plays.TV client, if you have it installed on your computer.
