GIMP - Free alternative to using Adobe Photoshop

Hits: 3067

Adobe Photoshop is probably the most established photo editing software in the professional world and  many people use it to edit images taken from ARCHLine.XP.

For the start-up  companies or users editing images rarely, the price of Photoshop commercial license (approx. €720 excl. VAT) might be a barrier to entry.

One reasonable alternative to using Adobe Photoshop, is GIMP.
It is a freely distributed piece of software often cited as the best open source image editing software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.

Installers for GIMP for Windows and Mac OSX are available to download with accompanying GIMP Tutorials and GIMP User Manual.

Anyone who chooses to download and use GIMP, assumes full responsibility for its use.

Please remember CadLine is not responsible for GIMP Technical support.
GIMP is a free, open-source application (managed by many volunteer programmers) and if you have any technical question, please contact the GIMP team.
