Introduction

My name is Anett Sebestyén-Bodrogi, and I am a beginner interior designer. I live in Debrecen with my family. In 2003, I graduated from the University of Debrecen as a geography teacher and as a regional and urban development geographer. After obtaining my degree, I worked in regional development. First, I assisted with development grant applications for municipalities in Hajdú-Bihar County, then I took part in rural development projects (LEADER Programme), and later I helped entrepreneurs navigate the world of EU-funded grants. After getting married and having children, I became involved in the day-to-day operations of our family business. We work in food retail and agriculture. As a 45-year-old mother of two, I feel very fortunate that this opportunity came my way and that I decided to enroll in an interior design training program in April 2024. I loved every minute of the course organized by Mesto Kft. I obtained my professional qualification in July 2025, which marked the beginning of my career as an interior designer. The title of my final exam project was: “Family Harmony in Minimal Interior Design Style in the Spirit of 2025 Trends.”

Graduation project summary:

Clean-lined harmony – a modern, welcoming dream home for a family of four

During the transformation of a home for a four-member, active family, the goal was to create a modern, minimalist interior that is still warm and inviting. The functional layout of the house supports everyday family life with spacious communal areas, well-organized storage solutions, and a dedicated relaxation zone that ensures comfort. The open-plan living room and kitchen form the heart of family and social gatherings, where the fireplace and practical kitchen solutions contribute to a sense of harmony. Abundant natural light, light-colored surfaces, and concealed storage result in an elegant yet highly practical home. The children’s rooms are individually tailored: the daughter’s room is softly feminine, while the son’s room is sporty and functional. Thoughtful planning and a clean, family-friendly design are reflected in every detail of the house.
