How to use AI Render

Tips from Klaudia Aranyi

The ARCHLine.XP AI Render feature allows you to create fast and impressive visualizations in various styles.

It can be used even in the early stages of design. These images mainly serve as inspirational visuals. A single view can be rendered in multiple styles in seconds, helping us make design decisions. The model created in the chosen style can then be further refined using the usual tools.

Steps for visualization using ARCHLine.XP AI Render:

As a first step, I built the 3D model. I saved different views, just like we do for regular visualizations. Then I selected the view I wanted to render and uploaded it to AI Render.

I specified whether I wanted to render an interior or exterior scene and selected the rendering mode. You can choose between Exact or Creative mode.

In Exact mode, the result closely follows the 3D model. In Creative mode, AI adds its own interpretation. Creative mode allows for exciting experimentation.

Next, I selected the desired render style. For the indoor images, I used the Realistic style, which resulted in photorealistic daytime visuals.

After that, I specified the room type. If the type isn’t listed, I define it manually using prompts.

Finally, for interior scenes, you can also choose from different style categories.

It’s worth spending time on the prompts — the more detailed you are about what you envision and what’s in the 3D model, the better the results. Below, you’ll find the prompts I used. They’re quite simple, but I sometimes added extra commands to achieve the desired outcome.

BEDROOM

Prompts: Bedroom, wooden parquet, beige walls, stone cladding and wood panels at the back, hidden LED lighting behind the wall panel, and track spotlights on the ceiling.

Image 2: I chose Japandi style in Creative mode. The AI "bricked up" the left window because of the curtain.

Image 3: I switched to Exact mode to show the curtain, but the result was still not perfect. So I deleted the curtain and used creative modes to try different styles.

Images 4–7: I experimented with the following styles: 4. Biophilic, 5. Modern, 6. Art Deco, 7. Modern again.

Image 8: I tried the curtain again, this time adding a prompt: “Window on the left with a sheer curtain.”

You can see that by continuously refining the prompts, you can achieve the result you’re aiming for.

KITCHEN

These are also indoor scenes where I used the following settings:

Image 1: The model created in ARCHLine.XP.

Image 2: Rendered in Creative mode using Mediterranean style. Simple prompts: warm colors, wooden parquet, stone wall cladding.

Image 3: Rendered in Exact mode, Modern style, with the same prompts.

WALK-IN CLOSET

Simple prompts: Wooden parquet, clothing, decor placement, wood materials, hidden lighting.

I wanted the images in a Modern style. At first, I used Creative mode, but it placed furniture in front of the window.

So I added a prompt specifying: “There is a window directly opposite.” I then rendered the next image again in Creative mode. As you can see, adjusting the prompt helped keep the area in front of the window clear.

For exterior scenes, it's especially important to describe what the image should show. Choose the rendering mode (Creative or Exact) and the image type. In the following examples, I selected the Photo image type, but interesting results can be achieved with other types as well. I used the Realistic and Night scene styles.

EXTERIOR 1

Prompts:

Garden scene, cooking area under a pavilion, pool nearby, grassy area, paved walkway, Mediterranean roof, black window and door frames, trees in the background.

Image 2: A Realistic daytime image rendered in Creative mode.

Image 3: Same settings, but I added to the prompt: “Include lighting in the scene.”

Image 4: Changed only the style to Night scene.

EXTERIOR 2

Prompts:

Garden scene, grassy area, paved walkway, flowers, Mediterranean roof, black window and door frames.

Image 2: Realistic style, daytime scene.

Image 3: Switched to Night scene and added to the prompt: “Lights and lanterns on the wall.”

EXTERIOR 3

Prompts:

Garden scene, pool, sun loungers, grassy area, paved walkway, Mediterranean roof, black window and door frames.

Image 2: Realistic style, daytime scene.

Image 3: Switched to Night scene and added to the prompt: “Lights and lanterns on the wall.”
