Csenge Széles’s Graduation Project – Featured Work
Csenge Széles received a Featured Work recognition in the Best Graduation Project of the Year competition. Congratulations on the outstanding graduation project!
Introduction
I believe that the soul of a space lies in its details. One part of my graduation project is a contemporary Bauhaus-style apartment, where original design pieces have been given a new role; the other is a lush, Art Deco-inspired apartment-restaurant. I am submitting the Bauhaus apartment for the competition, a space that is both contemporary and timeless.
Graduation project summary:
Bauhaus Elegance and a Cozy Atmosphere in the Family Home
In this modern apartment, the private and communal zones are deliberately separated: the living room, kitchen, and dining area share a spacious open space, while the children’s rooms—Eszter’s near the entrance and Bence’s next to the parents’ bedroom—are designed for practicality and tranquility. Zoltán’s workspace is located in the part of the living room bathed in natural light. The lighting is made versatile with ambient lights and flexibly placed outlets. The interior is designed in a Bauhaus style, featuring pastel tones, sailor blue and antelope brown accents, chrome surfaces, and glass bricks that enhance both light and visual spaciousness. The colors and details of the bedrooms and children’s rooms add unique character to this harmonious yet practical family living space.
