Introduction
As an economist working in the financial sector, I navigated the world of numbers with ease, but the desire to create was always present within me. Since childhood, I have been fascinated by interior design—my father's remarkable sense for shaping space inspired me from an early age. Over the years, friends increasingly sought my advice until one day someone asked, “Why don’t you do this professionally?” A few months later, in 2022, I enrolled in an interior design school, where I met my future colleague, Janka Glowinsky.
Our shared passion and similar design vision led us to establish Formakollektív Interior Studio, where collaboration forms the foundation of our work. But it’s not only us, the designers, working together—each space and its inhabitants jointly shape the final result to ensure a truly personalized outcome. An interior is not merely a collection of well-designed shapes, but a collective creation where aesthetics, functionality, and personal stories converge.
Project description:
The goal of this project was to design an exclusive, modern bathroom that aligns with high-end interior design trends. The focus was on combining natural materials, hidden lighting, and innovative space utilization.
Key features
Central walk-in shower: Positioned in the center of the space, the walk-in shower is enclosed by glass walls and features a ceiling-mounted rain shower. This unique solution is both extravagant and functional, offering a visually striking and immersive spatial experience.
Natural materials: Surfaces that mimic Patagonia marble and dark-toned stone cladding lend elegance to the interior.
Ambient lighting: Built-in LED lights and indirect lighting promote relaxation while highlighting the structure of the space.
Modern sanitary ware: Black basins and brushed nickel faucets provide an elegant contrast to the natural materials.
Atmosphere & functionality: This bathroom is a modern, exclusive relaxation area that strikes a perfect balance between elegance and usability. The bold central placement of the walk-in shower is an innovative spatial design choice that further enhances the uniqueness of the bathroom. This space is not just for everyday use—it’s a private wellness oasis where design and comfort meet.
