3D Warehouse - Google Account registration issue

After launching 3D Warehouse from ARCHLine.XP, login with Google Account does not work. Google has announced in an official article that it will block login to Google Account from the embedded browser framework from 4 January 2021.

There are two ways to access the 3D Warehouse page in ARCHLine.XP:

  • by email address
  • Google account

When logging in with a Google account, we use the Google Chromium Embedded Framework - CEF embedded browser, which will be blocked by Google from 4 January 2021. We therefore recommend entering your email and password for login and registration.

The original articel can be found here.

From the article:
"One form of phishing, known as “man-in-the-middle”, is hard to detect when an embedded browser framework (e.g., Chromium Embedded Framework - CEF) or another automation platform is being used for authentication. MITM presents an authentication flow on these platforms and intercepts the communications between a user and Google to gather the user’s credentials (including the second factor in some cases) and sign in. To protect our users from these types of attacks Google Account sign-ins from all embedded frameworks will be blocked starting on January 4, 2021. This block affects CEF-based apps and other non-supported browsers."

On the external 3D Warehouse site, you can still sign in with your Google Account. If you choose this option, we recommend the following:
  1. In your browser, type the following link: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/
  2. Sign in.
  3. Select the model and download it to an appropriate folder, e.g. ARCHLineXP.Draw\SKP
  4. In ARCHLine.XP, import the file using File menu - Import - SketchUp.
  5. After the import, the model is saved in the directory and can be placed on the drawing
