HP has recently withdrawn the support of certain printer types under Windows 10 operation system.
It can cause a problem if you are using ARCHLine.XP 2018 under Windows 10. If you have seen a software message saying: "unable to create printer device context" while trying to print in ARCHLine.XP 2018, then your printer is one of those unsupported types. After this the printer dialog will not open. Please check on the official HP website whether your printer type is supported or just a fresh driver is needed! - Check on the official HP website whether a driver update can fix your problem.
- If there is no fresh driver for your printer type, change your default printer in the Windows settings if possible.
- Another possible solution is to print your plan to PDF first, and then send it to a printer.
