Useful tip on excluding walls from calculations.

We can switch on the “Skip over room bounding” option in the main menu: “Building – Properties - Wall“. This gets important when you use the feature which automatically recognizes rooms with bounding walls.

Typically these are:

·         Building – Roombook – Room by walls or

·         Interior – Room maker

In these cases we must click inside of the rooms with the mouse, then an algorithm recognizes the bounding walls. It might happen that we drew parapet walls, which should be excluded from the area calculations or ignored when we are using the Room maker tool. In order to run these functions correctly, always turn on the “Skip over room bounding” option. Please take a note and switch off this function when you are drawing bounding walls, otherwise the program will not recognize the room and will send an error message.
